Gra\u00e7a e paz da parte de Deus e, gra\u00e7as a Deus que nos d\u00e1 vit\u00f3ria em Cristo Jesus<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n Como \u00e9 do conhecimento de alguns, na semana passada, como parte do conselho de primazes e como Vice-Presidente do GAFCON, participei de uma consulta a pedido do Presidente e Arcebispo de Ruanda Laurent Mbanda. Estavam presentes alguns primazes, parte dos fundadores do GAFCON e algumas lideran\u00e7as na cidade de Sydney, Austr\u00e1lia.<\/p>\n Durante tr\u00eas dias nos debru\u00e7amos sobre os desafios que se enfrentam hoje no \u00e2mbito da Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana em algumas partes do mundo. Enquanto, na maioria dos pa\u00edses em que nossa igreja est\u00e1 estabelecida, ela \u00e9 vibrante, evang\u00e9lica, b\u00edblica e de vis\u00e3o mission\u00e1ria, por outro lado, em alguns pa\u00edses, a teologia revisionista tomou corpo e influenciou a igreja.<\/p>\n Essa teologia her\u00e9tica apresenta um falso evangelho que tem colaborado para que os fundamentos b\u00e1sicos do evangelho de Jesus Cristo estejam sendo deturpados e levando a igreja \u00e0 ru\u00edna, transformando-a em uma ag\u00eancia ou organiza\u00e7\u00e3o qualquer que dista do prop\u00f3sito do evangelho como o oriente do ocidente.<\/p>\n Esse fen\u00f4meno n\u00e3o \u00e9 novo, j\u00e1 em 2008, l\u00edderes anglicanos preocupados com os rumos da igreja convocaram a 1\u00aa Confer\u00eancia para o Futuro do Anglicanismo, conhecida como GAGFCON I. Ali se reuniram quase 1.500 l\u00edderes entre leigos, cl\u00e9rigos e bispos de todos os continentes, dali saiu a Declara\u00e7\u00e3o de Jerusal\u00e9m e ali se iniciou esse movimento que busca trazer a Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana de volta aos princ\u00edpios b\u00edblicos e colocar a B\u00edblia no centro dela. Depois de Jerusal\u00e9m 2008, vieram Nairobi 2013, Jerusal\u00e9m 2018, Ruanda 2023 e Dallas 2024, e a cada ano temos um encontro das lideran\u00e7as mundiais do Movimento. Tenho tido o privil\u00e9gio de participar em todos estes encontros desde 2008.<\/p>\n Depois de in\u00fameras tentativas de chamar \u00e0 raz\u00e3o as lideran\u00e7as Anglicanas, de di\u00e1logos e debates, declara\u00e7\u00f5es e propostas, percebemos claramente que a Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana \u201cfecha os ouvidos\u201d a tudo o que temos tentado dizer. Entendemos que os chamados \u201cInstrumentos de Comunh\u00e3o\u201d falharam drasticamente no prop\u00f3sito de unir esse povo. Em fevereiro de 2023, ap\u00f3s as decis\u00f5es do S\u00ednodo da Igreja da Inglaterra aprovar as mudan\u00e7as na doutrina do casamento fugindo dos princ\u00edpios b\u00edblicos, emitimos juntos com o GSFA uma declara\u00e7\u00e3o na 4\u00aa feira de cinzas que desconsiderava os instrumentos de comunh\u00e3o e o arcebispo de Cantu\u00e1ria como l\u00edder da Comunh\u00e3o. A partir de ent\u00e3o, consideramos nossos la\u00e7os com a Igreja da Inglaterra apenas hist\u00f3ricos.<\/p>\n Com os \u00faltimos desdobramentos, incluindo a escolha de uma mulher, l\u00e9sbica e que vive em parceria \u201cconjugal\u201d com outra mulher, como Arcebispa do Pa\u00eds de Gales, e a recente escolha da Bispa Revisionista liberal pr\u00f3-aborto e que apoia as mudan\u00e7as no conceito do casamento da igreja, entendemos que precis\u00e1vamos tomar uma decis\u00e3o. Reunidos em Sydney, tomamos a decis\u00e3o de fazer valer a raz\u00e3o pela qual a confer\u00eancia e posteriormente o Movimento GAFCON foram fundados.<\/p>\n \u00c9 nosso papel, como movimento, nos movermos, e por isso decidimos, de maneira oficial, declarar a incompatibilidade e o distanciamento total dos instrumentos de unidade da Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana, como est\u00e1 claro na carta do Presidente do GAFCON, homologada pelo Conselho de Primazes do movimento em 16 de outubro desse ano.<\/p>\n Nunca deixamos a Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana porque somos a heran\u00e7a legitima de suas ra\u00edzes e a continuidade do que ela sempre creu, declarou e ensinou. Na realidade…<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Historicamente, e sob a gra\u00e7a de Deus em 16 de outubro de 2025, dia dos M\u00e1rtires Hugo Latimer e Nicholas Ridley, assinamos essa decis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n Quando Latimer e Ridley estavam sendo amarrados \u00e0 estaca, Latimer disse a Ridley:<\/p>\n \u201cSeja corajoso, mestre Ridley, e tenha bom \u00e2nimo; pois hoje, pela gra\u00e7a de Deus, acendemos na Inglaterra uma vela que, espero, jamais se apagar\u00e1.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Que a chama dos m\u00e1rtires nunca se apague, aque\u00e7a nossos cora\u00e7\u00f5es com paix\u00e3o pela miss\u00e3o de Deus e ilumine nosso caminho coma a verdade do evangelho.<\/p>\n \n ++ Miguel Uchoa<\/strong> [\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”English version” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Letter to the Clergy and to Whom It May Concern<\/strong><\/p>\n Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who leads us in triumph and gives us victory through the cross.<\/em><\/p>\n Dear Brothers and Sisters in Ministry,<\/p>\n As many of you know, I recently participated, as Vice-President of the GAFCON (Global Anglican Future Conference), in a consultation at the invitation of its President, Archbishop Laurent Mbanda, Primate of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. The meeting took place in the city of Sydney, Australia, bringing together part of the Primates’ Council, some of the founders of the movement, and other Anglican leaders from diferente provinces.<\/p>\n For three days, we dedicated ourselves to prayer, reflection, and discernment of the challenges facing the Anglican Communion today. While in many parts of the world our Church remains vibrant, evangelical, biblical, and missionary, in other regions, theological revisionism has taken hold, undermined the foundations of the historic Christian faith, and transformed the Church into a mere humanist organization, far from the Gospel of Christ.<\/p>\n This reality, unfortunately, is not new. In 2008, faced with the same picture of doctrinal deviation, Anglican leaders from various nations gathered in Jerusalem at the First Global Conference on the Future of Anglicanism (GAFCON I). There, some 1,500 delegates, including bishops, clergy and laity from all continents, signed the Jerusalem Declaration, a historic document that reaffirms the Communion’s commitment to the supreme authority of Scripture and to the foundations of the Reformed faith.<\/p>\n Since then, the movement has grown and strengthened, with conferences in Nair\u00f3bi (2013), Jerusalem (2018), Rwanda (2023), and Dallas (2024) each reaffirming the need to keep the Bible at the center of church life. I have had the privilege of participating in all these conferences since the beginning of the movement, witnessing its maturity and fidelity to the Gospel.<\/p>\n Despite numerous attempts at dialogue and calls for repentance, it became apparent that the so-called Instruments of Communion, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lambeth Conference, the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC), and the Primates’ Meeting, had failed to maintain doctrinal unity and the integrity of the faith.<\/p>\n The decision by the Synod of the Church of England in February 2023 to alter the doctrine of marriage, approving blessings to unions contrary to Scripture, was a turning point. Inresponse, GAFCON and the GSFA (Global South Fellowship of Anglicans) published a joint statement on Ash Wednesday that year stating that Canterbury’s leadership no longer represented the unity of the true Anglican Communion. Since then, our ties with the Church of England have been only historical, and not one of spiritual communion.<\/p>\n The most recent events \u2014 including the appointment in Wales as primate of a woman who lives in a marital relationship with another woman, and the choice in England of a liberal bishop who advocates abortion and the revision of the Christian doctrine of marriage \u2014 have confirmed the need for a firm and definitive decision.<\/p>\n Meeting in Sydney, the Primates decided to reaffirm the original reason why GAFCON was founded: to restore the integrity of the faith, the centrality of Scripture, and the unity of the Church under the lordship of Christ. Thus, on October 16, 2025, the date on which the Church commemorates the martyrdom of Bishops Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley, we officially signed the reordering of the Anglican Communion, recognizing GAFCON as the rightful custodian of the historic and biblical faith of Anglicanism.<\/p>\n We do not leave the Anglican Communion \u2014 we are its faithful and legitimate expression.
